Homey can talk to regular wireless devices like set-top boxes, ‘dumb’ TVs, socket switches, and air conditioning. This can be achieved with an infrared connection.

IR and search for the manufacturer of your device. If you can't find the brand you're looking for, you can copy an existing IR remote.
Unfortunately, Homey does not do magic, so devices do need a wireless control method.
For devices without wireless controls, like your trusted coffee machine or regular lights, workarounds are available. Add, for instance, a relatively cheap socket switch to these devices and include them in your Homey ecosystem without having to buy a completely new device!
