Controlling your smart home with a voice assistant tends to be very useful. That's why Homey features integration with Google Assistant / Google Home, allowing you to interact with the connected devices by voice and run your favorite Flows. This article explains how to set up the integration.
Note: Version 2.3.0+ of the Homey app is needed for this integration to work properly.
1. Open the Google Home app
2. Add a device
In the Google Home app, select

Search and select
Homey in the list of brands. Log in with your Athom account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you've completed these steps, Homey is connected with Google Assistant. You can start by saying commands such as
"Hey Google, turn on the TV."
3. Enable synchronization with Google (optional)
Additionally, Homey can synchronize the live status, name, and zone of your devices with Google Home. This might improve the speed of certain voice commands, such as "Turn up the heat".
To better protect your privacy, this functionality must be manually enabled in the Homey app.

Google Assistant. You can enable synchronization by tapping the switch at the bottom of the screen.
Note: When synchronization is not enabled, newly added devices might not appear in the Google Home app. You can synchronize manually by saying "Hey Google, sync devices".
Google Home has limited support for certain devices. Only the following devices currently work with Homey & Google Assistant:
- Blinds and Curtains
- Other devices with On/Off functionality
